Flickr is an excellent source of photos for other project. But can you use them? I like to put Flickr photos in the articles on my blog, but it is a pain in the ass to always use Flickr Advanced Search to find them. Now it is a pain no more.
This script will force all searches on Flickr to return Creative Commons images. This is *very* useful if you want to use flickr for finding photos to reuse in other projects.
What are Creative Commons images? They are images that are free for reuse by other people and in other projects. Instead of grabbing and image you may not be allowed to legally use, grab one that you are guaranteed to be free for use.

Settings
You can also change the settings so that it only finds images that are free to use in commercial works or images that are free to modify.
You can further tweak the settings by surfing to http://flickr.com and using your
Firefox browser menu to select Tools >> GreaseMonkey >> User Scripts Commands
How to install it
- You need to use the Firefox web browser
- You need to have the Greasemonkey extension installed
- You need to go here and install the Greasemonkey script

I’m glad you find it useful. I like to use images from Flickr, but constantly having to use the Advanced Search is annoying.

thanks! :) this is exactly what I was looking for.
I forgot to mention one thing that needs to be changed with the script:
the Included Pages needs to be changed from
http://flickr.com/search/*
to
http://*flickr.com/search/*
Otherwise, http://www.flickr.com/search/* results will not be affected by the script.
Thanks again!

@david gunnells:
Thanks for the correction to my Flickr search script. I’ve been meaning to spruce it up. I find it can be a bit temperamental.
