Aaron, Tim Ferriss' book is out. If you wanna read it, check out http://snipurl.com/1ilc1. I'd read the book but I'd rather keep the suspense for you.

Impressive list. I've read "Assasin's Apprentice" and it got me hooked. I love the Song of Ice and Fire series too, and I must plead guilty that I have a collection of Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series. I was wondering what you think of P C Hodgell's work (like "God Stalk").

How about self-help books? I have Stephen Covey's "7 Habits..." and I heard that David Allen's Getting Things Done is excellent. There's a new one coming out by a fellow named Tim Ferriss, "4-Hour Workweek", at www.fourhourworkweek.com but I can't comment on yet but it seems alright by what little I've seen so far.

I really can't stand most of Orson Scott Card's writing other than the Ender's series. The Bean sequel series is really good.

Excellent book list! Snow Crash is a fantastic book and it was way ahead of its time. The first time I saw Google Earth I thought, "Hey! That's just like the Earth program from Snow Crash!"

Ender's Game is definitely in my top 10 SF books of all time. I haven't finished the Ender series, but I've heard great things about it.

The Song of Ice and Fire series from George R.R. Martin is my favorite series of all time. If you're into fantasy you owe it to yourself to check out the first book "A Game of Thrones". The story and characters are intricately developed through Martin's masterful writing ability. He exhibits a writing quality that's very rare in fantasy.

looks better now

I read that PostSecret book.. the image quality is really low on the pictures... it's almost as if they printed out the images from the website instead of scanning the originals in at high quality

If you're going to mention Tad Williams, you must include the Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn Trilogy.
